@dsp628 Its true most Christians don't read the bible, and have little knowledge on the scriptures. I believe it is like only 2% of Christians read the scriptures daily., With that said...your little knowledge, of verses out of contexts is most likely going to do little to people who know the scriptures. If you show me a violent verse from some place in the bible. I would roll my eyes at you.

So true.  Most Christians, as well as other Believers, carry around a series of Irrational Dichotomies that need to be reconciled. Check out my video by that name, and also "Examine Your Beliefs" which asks them to review the things that they take for granted (ex. Souls, immortality, Heaven, etc.) in a more rational light.

What else would they believe? What do atheists believe that is hard to believe? Is it hard to believe that there isn't a magical sky daddy who can break not only the laws of physics but also the laws of logic watching over us who WANTS us to believe in him but DOESN'T show us any reason to believe in him?

Most Christians I talk to don't even know anything about their religion. I will often quote sexist or violent passages from the Bible and they will accuse me of hate. They refuse to open the Bible and see it for themselves. I have concluded the vast majority of Christians have never read the Bible. This blatant ignorance is sad and keeping us from progressing. I have much more respect for Lutherans though as their belief requires you to read the Bible yourself. I predict this has caused them
