This is just a video I put together for my AFRO202 class [african-american studies]. I was leery of posting it because I thought [and still think] I will get hate about it.

Keep in mind that this was for an African-American studies course, so it obviously revolves around african-americans. But, as we all know the sluggish help relief was not because of race alone. Economics played a huge part. And I, personally, think that our current government only sees one color... and that is green. It's a shame that in the US, the so called "land of plenty", that we allow people to suffer like this.

Spoiled 16 year olds are getting hundred thousand dollar parties and new car(s). While there are some hard working people out there who can't afford a pot to piss in. A Shame.

This first song I used is Erykah Badu's - AD 2000 ... if you find the time feel free to read the lyrics, I find them to be very fitting. The second is Roy Ayer's - Everybody Love's the Sunshine. And we all do, black, white, rich, poor ... we all love the sunshine.

Erykah Badu - AD 2000

No you won't be name'n no buildings after me
To go down dilapidated ooh
No you won't be name'n no buildings after me
My name will be mistated, surely

His world done changed
So much yeah yeah
This world done changed
Since I been conscious

This world done changed
So much yeah yeah
This world done changed
Since I been conscious

Oh, what in the world will we do?
Will we ever make it, yeah
Oh yeah know it ain't right
Oh, is it in Your plan?

Say, I won't be name'n no buildings after me
To go down dilapidated
No you won't be name'n no bulidings after me
My name won't be mistated, surely
Surely, surely...

  • Just shows us non Americans in the rest of the world that America isn't interested in saving anything!

They go all over the world saying they wanna put an end to terror and all that. But the stats say the opposite!

The average deaths per year to terror has been less than 500 since 1970 and I include the big one in NY!

Katrina 1st hand affected 30 000 people and nearly half of them are still completely F'd!

Right there in your own back yard too! Shame on you America

  • I cant hear nothing

  • Yes I am living in SC too I have seen a lot od displaced families and the men have began turning to the wrong things to support their families and shouldnt be this way. I am deeply saddened by this, Thats why we need to come together help each other out.
