@edgardusXII Agreed! I felt the same frustration when I initially became inspired to play lute music but could not afford an instrument, but when I began building one myself, I realised how justified luthiers are in charging what they do.

@0pteryx My friend, the labour involved in constructing such instruments justifies its price. Luthiers need to make a living and charge according to the output of quality. The discipline in saving money for such instruments is a primer for the later discipline of music practise.

I sure wish I could afford a baroque lute. I think it's a crime against humanity that these instruments are so expensive.
