Deep felt Condolences to the family of Mariana.....who passed away peacefully this morning.

Brazilian model and former Miss World Brazil finalist Mariana Bridi Da Costa, is battling for her life after her hands and feet was amputated.

Thiago Simoes, Da Costas boyfriend said that Bridi fell ill on December 30 and was initially misdiagnosed with kidney stones.

Bridis condition worsened and she had to return to the hospital where doctors determined she was suffering from a severe UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). Bridis doctors found out that she was also suffering from septicimea, a blood infection that limited the supply of oxygen to her extremities.

The septicimea had set in her limbs, cutting off circulation and forcing doctors to amputate her hands and feet.

Please note that despite her success, she and her love ones do not deserve any disrespectful comments as I believe if the tables were turn she would of not said such awful things. Therefore, no matter her success she and her love ones deserves better.

@ianrkav totally but u know i think i have a pretty good cure for sepsis... if u inject the person with the aids or hiv virus it would reverse the effect... i wonder if any scientists have tried this. Poison versus poison some people may say.

@Masoukishin Maybe she would. In her case though even if they had the biotechnology to regrow limbs it wouldn't have made much difference as the sepsis ultimately caused heart failure! They would first have to discover what causes sepsis, why a persons own immune system goes haywire and attacks them, in the first place!

I agree with you though. Stem cell research is hardly unethical and should be allowed.
