Fyi: I live in Korea!
This weekend I had my first experience staying at a Korean home. It was very different and an eye opener. After experienceing it, it made me think if I could ever live up to the standards set by a family when dating an Asian man. It made me wonder if it was something I even wanted to deal with. I express my sentiments here.
Also my cursed time at Lotte World.

  • I was wondering why Rain wanted rice for breakfast on Full House! Now I know! lol

  • @v8diva Yes rice 24 hours of the day. I put some butter and sugar in mine when I had some at work and all the kids made fun of me. Im like i cant be eating plain rice all damn day dang! Gota throw some flava up in it!!!!!!!

  • I was just wondering if there are many korean guys who look like thoes kpop stars?? :) haha sorry i'm obsessed with stars like TOP Eunhuyk, hhaha :D and how are the boys like compared to american or european boys?

sorry i'm from Denmark, so i'm not sure if I have sme english grammar mistakes ?? :) hehe

  • @Thashla95 you know what that's a really great question and one I will now do a video on! Thank you for the idea! And ur English is fine. ;) I will tell u right now that I havent seen any TOP's or Eunhuyk but I HAVE seen "WANNA BE" TOP's and Eunhuyk's lol. Out here they look like another type of Korean celebrity.....Ill have the video posted in a few days ;)

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this video....you are so silly (in a good way of course) I got introduced to South Korea through dramas such as Stairway to Heaven and Winter Sonata. I think some Kpop is....ok (I have an odd obsession with Eunhyuk though lol) 16:49 gave me chills, your friend/co-worker is right!

BUT sacrifice comes from BOTH ends, not just one. If the man is truly open to sharing his life with a non-Korean woman then, he'll learn to adjust to you just like you'll learn to adjust to him.

  • @havefaith89 Wow you are soo right. HE WILL/SHOULD learn to adjust to my culture and ways too. Thanks for reminding me about that one. ;) Thanks for watching.

p.s. theres something really mysteriously sexy about Eunhuyk. I feel it too!

  • Your series of videos made me laugh. Is the title supposed to be a rhetorical question?

I'm sure you have realized that Korea is a VERY homogeneous society and very male oriented. Are you ever going live up to Korea typical society standard? I would has NO for the time being. give it time.

  • Notwithstanding the intricate social protocols, it sounds like your friend in Incheon just comes from an especially strict household. Most families would understand that you wouldn't be familiar with certain customs and overlook most shortfalls. If anything, they'd think such incidents were due to the quirks of Korean etiquette- not because of a lack of manners on your part- good Korean hosts would attempt to explain and teach rather than castigate or make uncomfortable a guest in their home.

  • @SusieW30 I love Rain's face, without all that makeup they put on them, Rain looks very manly. I love that, I can't do a thing with a pretty man, lol.

  • @v8diva Yes, Eunhuyk is my favorite of SuJu as well. I really hate how they make the guys super feminine as well. I do not understand why Korean fans like that. Yesterday I saw a recent picture of Xiah Junsu and I was so not happy how much they made him look like a woman, it's a total turn off.

  • I would really love to see how your perception and opinion of Korean culture changes the longer you stay there. I think maybe you had a culture shock but the more you mix with Koreans and visit their homes the more you will become accustomed to it.

I am not Korean but I had the same culture issues with Indian culture, but soon it become automatic, you just know how to talk to them and act around them. You get a 'feel' of how they think.

  • Not mad on Rain's face but he's rocking an awesome body!!

Give me Kim Hyun Joong, he's just so pretty! I'd ruin that guy!! Lol

  • @MiChaJong Wow!

  • @v8diva yes they were actually quite manly, even Heechul when SUJU first debuted was still very very manly... but if the gimick fits them, the company will pay them to keep it up.
