Navy Hymn - Eternal Father Strong To Save. Hymn Tune: Melita

This is my second arrangement of this Beloved and Beautiful Hymn, so many of my Subscribers asked me to use the Chimes so I decided to post it. I ' Marry ' the Chimes with Celeste 8' and an 8' Rohr Flute and I use a nice Full Rich Stop Combination on the last verse with a Bomabrde Pedal.

This Hymn is near and dear to me, I served in the United States Navy many years ago. The two pictures at the end of the video are of me when I first enlisted, I was very thin back then ( USS COATES - Destroyer Escort ). I remember playing the Organ on the Aircraft Carrier, the USS WASP. It was a great adventure and an Honor to Serve our Country at the same time, Serving the LORD with my Musical Ministry as the Organist and Chaplain's Assistant.

GOD BLESS AMERICA and if you Served in the Military - THANK YOU for your Service.

Lance †

  • I Love your music and wanted to save this one with the first chorus of the chimes for memorial ceremonies. 2 of us have tried to download it and it won't let us. what are we doing wrong?

  • I am sorry - I can't explain the problem you seem to have, I use the free DVD Video Soft and I download that way... If you continue to have a problem, ask YouTube. Thank you for visiting. Lance †

  • Is that the ring that I think...have you traveled East????

  • It is a CROSS Ring but in answer to your question - Yes, 32nd Degree Consistory.

  • Hey Lance I know we've talked about this hymn before when I played it. Just wanted to let you know that I will be playing this at my grandfather's service on the organ (of course). He loved this hymn, and so do I. Best wishes!

  • I am sure you will play it with the dignity it commands, it is hard to play for loved ones services, I had the Honor to play for my Mother's. GOD be with you †

  • Love the hymn. I know the tune as an alternate tune for "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less", which is a beautiful arrangement of that song.

  • BRAVO. Just wonderful. You sure do justice for this beautiful music. God Bless You.

  • The bells - never heard it played that way before, but I like it.
