No explosion beats the Big Bang -- even if it was completely silent.

  • @cujhrajshdc For a singleplayer game, Skyrim has a HUGE influence over the internet.

  • From a proton-sized speck to billions of miles across in a billion billion billionth of a second, matter would be traveling much, much, much faster than the speed of light, and NOTHING travels faster than light.........I spotted a contradiction!!!!

  • @liveoles but space has no air. Air is what carries sound. With no air, there was no sound. So no "bang" when the big bang happened.

  • "Before the Big Bang" is meaningless. These scientists were hypocrites. They know naturalistic science has limitation when it comes to the origin of the cosmos, therefore they quickly want to sweep the issue of "before the big bang" under the rug by saying it's meaningless, which in other words, "don't ask because we don't know". The honest answer would just be, "we don't know".

  • Why won't the Big Bang has noise? The matter that was propagated can carry noise right?

  • @ChuckleKing the laws of physics that we know and use now didn't exist but nothing says that there was any law and our understanding stops at the plank length so we can not know what happen when our universe was a plank time at his age !! and knowing what trigret this universe to existence and how did energy transformed to matter has a huge scientific deal !! and ofcorse the religion/philosophy value !

  • @hakim0744 Before the big bang all the forces and subatomic particles and they way everything behaved, even at a quantum level, did not exist. Thus trying figure out what was before the big bang using the science and mathematics that resulted from the big bang is impossible. None of that applied before the big bang. Though I do believe the question is extremely relevant to religion and philosophy, I don't see how it can contribute to science.

  • to ask what before the big bang and before time is meaningless is useless? WAIT WHAT? discovering that will push the quantum mechanics to a whole new level because then you'll be operating on the plank lenth wich is a huge deal and even if not just knowing where the universe comes from will answer a huge deal of question men had always asked !!!

  • If anything WITH MASS could travel faster than the speed of light then light itself would travel faster than it does. Einstein was smart enough to have pondered the question of whether or not "some unknown thing" could travel faster than light. His point was that light reaches the fastest speed that anything can reach. And no, neutrinos (with mass) cannot travel faster than light. Anomalies in our technology will give us many false readings and interpretations. Math proves Einstein correct.

  • @kdc43 Spacetime can travel faster than light.

  • Matter cannot travel through space at greater than light speed, however, the expansion of the universe is not a matter traveling outward through space, it is space it self expanding and carrying matter with it. Space can expand faster than the speed of light.

  • @kdc43 space isn't matter.
