HO Scale Double Crossover

A just completed HO scale Double Crossover in Code 83 rail. This was built using a Fast Tracks crossover jig, and is controlled with just two Bullfrog turnout controllers.

The electrical system is handled nicely by two Tam Valley Depot Frog Juicers, and a NCE Powercab.

The bullfrogs have worked well, some have been installed now for over a year and a half. I've had a few failures that I can cleanly identify as mistakes of mine (such as rushing the construction and not allowing the glue to set long enough). So I've replace a couple, but again that's clearly because of my mistakes, not the design of the bullfrog.

How do you like the Bullfrog controllers? I'm thinking of using them when I start my layout. Since you made this video over a year ago I'm particularly interested in how well the wood, around the ball bearing locking mechanism, has stood up to repeated back and forth movement. Switch looks great by the way.

The Bullfrogs work great - I'd recommend them. The problems I've had have been to my rushing the assembly; you really need to let the glue dry before installing! I now wait a day for the glue to set before even thinking about putting them in. The control rod set up is easy to install as well. I have a blog on Model Railroad Hobbyist called 22 Stories up, if you search for that you'll see a number of my modules on their side - it's a good example of how the system works.
