it's an old game, I know they made a newer version that comes with a dvd instead of a video cassette.

@Fiddlemaster56 Yes and no, yes for the fact that you can do it based around just out beating someone else to the hub. Still where would be the fun in that, the Gatekeeper and the things he imposes makes it that much more than a average board game, so thats where no comes in.

@moonlightdeadite Technically you don't have to play with the tape. Without the timer, there is far less stress in the game, but it still is a competition among the other players. First to get the keystones and get back to the Hub wins. The tape just puts a timer and provides scenario-changing events, but the game could be played without the tape and still be competitive.

And you put the same 6 panels down each game....there is no combination or way of changing the game in that way as you said earlier in the video. It's always the 6 monsters. Replay value is actually extremely low without the booster-tapes or add-on that came out after the game.

The double sides are not used for increased replay value. You have 10 minutes to fulfill the requirements of whichever monster-character you want to become (Kufu, etc.). If you fail to reach the location on the board where the token is in time, you flip the board over and become a Soul Ranger. Just to clarify, there aren't 12 possibilities, just 6.

What in the world do you mean you don't have to play with the tape? You have to play with the tape every time you break it out.  Thats the point. You could not go anywhere without it.
