Punta Pochote, Manzanillo - Costa Rica

The house was completed in 2007, and all of the hardwood used in the construction was meticulously handpicked from sustainable sources. The house sits on 1128 square metersdownstairs the fully equipped kitchen is complemented by a selection of fine teak and guanacaste furniture. Spiral staircase leads from the large open terrace up to an equally spacious balcony with great views of the sunset over the pacific ocean. On a good day you can see whales from the balcony. In front of the house a pathway leads through a shady forest frequented monkeys and coatis. The house is located in the tranquil fishing village of Manzanillo near the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Manzanillo is an idyllic little village that still retains it genuine Tico charm. Parts of the area have recently been awarded the status of Forest Reserve, securing it a future free from rampant over-development. A 5 minute walk downhill from the house take you to gorgeous Manzanillo beach, which has one small bar and a good restaurant. 5 minutes walk further up the beach you will find the nearest general store. The town of Cobano is 20 minutes drive away, and the nearest airport is less than an hour away at Tambor. Manzanillo is located 20 minutes drive north of the popular surf resort of Malpais and Santa Teresa, which boast world class surf breaks, a great selection of quality shops, bars and restaurants and an international bi-lingual school.
