Times Of Trouble Lyrics
Artist(Band):Temple Of The Dog

When the spoon is hot
And the needle's sharp
And you drift away
I can hear you say
That the world in black
Is upon your back
And your body shakes
So you ditch away
And you close the shades

Don't try to do it
Don't try to kill your time
You might do it
Then you can't change your mind
You've got a hold on to your time
Till your break through these
Times of trouble

When you try to talk
And the words get hard
And they put you down
Don't you stay
Don't you ditch away

I saw you swinging
Swinging your mother's sword
I know you're playing but
Sometimes the rules get hard
But if somebody left you out on a ledge
If somebody pushed you over the edge
If somebody loved you and left you for dead
You got to hold on to your time till you break
Through these times of trouble

  • Stone Gossard is the man. Also, who's the butt much who disliked this...had to be an accident

  • This album showed that Cornell had one of the finest voices ever. Not even debatable.

  • the atmosphere, guitars, vocals... amazing...

    100% grunge...

  • its just not that easy.... if they could have, they clearly would have....

  • @dio4lyfe You my friend, need to do more research.

  • Chris Cornell is top of the line vocally, his range is INSANE and like ed vedder when you hear his voice you immediately know who it is. Strong and original.

  • Epic

  • Temple of the dog is a tribute to Andrew Wood. "Want to show you something like the joy inside my heart. Seems I've been living in the temple of the dog." Stone wrote the music.

  • Temple of the Dog didn't split, it was never intended to be a lasting band, it was a side project by Chris.

  • this is the one song of hope i play when i feel like going back to using and at the end of my rope. not sure why exactly cuz there is no answer there... just feels right and sad at the same time. i love these guys.
