That snare-angle is too much, you can't play the drum as you should. You should hit head-on, not in an angle.

This is awesome man. What's your set up for miccing the drums? Sounds very clear.

@SpartanCarver Cheers mate, the setup's pretty simple, the close mics are just a set of cheap superlux pra228a's that'll only set you back about £100 with clamps and everything, but they do the job, and the overheads are just two pro-sound 1's, also cheap but they do the job fine
