His parents live in Marysville, but he lives in Florida, so we'd both be flying up.
8-10 miles... that's awesome! I used to live up there, but I didn't know it was that far. I thought it would be one or two miles.

LOL! That same salesman was there last Friday, selling those same things. He never leaves. I think his sign on the front of the truck said "A little slice of heaven" or something like that.

That hot dog guy almost wasn't selling hot dogs, he didn't get the licence to do it, someone else beat him to it, then a lawyer found a loop hole in Mich law saying he could sell them cause he is a Vet. So that is good for him. This year's float down as I was reading might have buses and parking at the end of the float which is in Marysville, park there and get bused to the beach where you put in...that would be cool

Yeah, that does sound cool.
How many miles is the Float Down, and how long does it take to float that distance?
I was actually eating dinner at the Edison Inn on Friday, right at the window you can see in your video, but I don't even live in Michigan. I guess it's a small world. :)

I belive it is about 8 to 10 miles, and I think it took some of the people over 1 hour to get there, depending on how the wind and current is. You said you have a cousin, I thought he lived or she lived in Port Huron...Go to google and see map of port Huron or Marysville and follow it down the river and see.there is a beach right on the river at Maysville park or across the street......nice float..
