After more than 30 years of service, my father lost his pension. I am pushing to prevent executives from getting huge payments if their employee's pension plan is not properly funded or if they file bankruptcy. No more 'take the money and run'. We must encourage risk taking and investment, but we must also require Corporate America to play by the rules.
While we add protections for those nearing retirement, we must add options for younger workers. They need portable plans that fit today's more mobile workplace, plans with their names on it that they own and no one can take away.
