The 1960's A Universal Picture logo was used in Inglorious Basterds.

New to me, this is *the* Universal Logo heme DELUXE....worthy of something that cecil B. DeMille woulda used (Had he not been with Paramount)..
Though I am kinda surprised that Speilberg never used this in any of *his* Universal films..
Thanx, thanx, THANX, m8...

This is very good I wish they would use it!

Gee, I wished ALL Universal films opened this way... The Flintstones did this (or a reasonable facsimile) in 1994.

one of the biggest production companies in the universe.

I think it's good combination if that 80´s universal logo could use it...
Loved the use of this old Universal indent with Drag Me to Hell.

You mean the actual logo minus the made-up music, right?

I think it actually works really well; the only thing I would have done is added a bit of reverb to make the fanfare more spacious and majestic.

Thanks! And yeah, that is a good idea.

Is this made up or from a movie?

The music is made up. Sorta. I took the first seven notes of an MTE spoof made by Morality 124, slowed them down and altered them, and combined them with the full 1964 Universal Television theme.
The visual logo is from a 1982 movie; the name of which escapes me.
