Thanks for blowing the whistle on these guys who are too lazy to be bothered learning about the mechanics of music. These are the same guys who say if i understand what the notes are behind a chord or scale, it is "not playing from the heart".
sorry boys, that is lazy pure and simple. Claiming that someone is a pseudo-intellectual because they have some knowledge just holds us all back as musicians . WAKE UP

@TheApocalyptical1 the discussion was about Lydian or Dorian.. that's whats important. THAT's how he saw you don't appreciate (or study) jazz

Sco is amazing. Really a unique player....and amazing! Hard to find your own unique voice on guitar or any instrument for that matter and Sco has done that!!

jazz.
I don't know why people get the assumption that if somebody studies music that at that point music no longer becomes meaningful. It is a ridiculous assumption rooted in contempt. It would be like saying if I were to study auto mechanics I would no longer enjoy country drives on sunday afternoons.

I also don't know why talking about a songs musical fundimentals can be interprited as pseudo-intellectual dick-swagger. If people didn't study music today where would tomorrow's music come from?
