i read yesterday, oct 25, 2011 in a eugene robinson column, that temperature on land had gone up almost 2 degrees fahrenheit since 1950. what if, in the next 40 years, the temp goes up 4 or 5 degrees?

No one can definitively say about global warming. Are you advocating continued reliance on oil, foreign oil and the whims of Wall Street speculators? If that is what you are advocating, you are advocating the past, and that's what the right-wing does, go backwards, with heads buried in the ground; fearful.
