  • The cars at the end are nearly all 1971 model Ford Motor Company Products, ranging from the Pinto to the Continental Mark III, and everthing in between.

  • And in Bucharesty we still have unpaved streets, with no suarage and running watter (even on Strada Duşului/Street of the Shower). And Bucharest in Capital of Romania!!!

The problem today in most of the world is there are to many cars! I can understand people from the country side using theyr cars, cause the cars are makijng the life more easier for them, but to many cars in the city means murder against the city...

Henry Ford was one of the greatest man in the world!

  • The title says The American Road 1953. But this documentary is from the '70's,if we look at the cars that are appearing on the color images at the end of the documentary. This doceumentary partially gives the impresion that Henry Ford invented the car; he dind't inveted it, but revotionlized the automibile industry. If you want to see dirt roads, kid forced to walk to shool even 5-6 miles (cause there are no school buses) come to Romania. We still have horse wagons!

  • The year is actually 1973.

  • Back when America still looked ahead to the future optimistically. What's happened to us?

  • Yes this is a great video! Back to simple times when life seemed slower and perhaps kinder. Check out the crazy wacky dog having a ball running in the field to the right of the wagon at 1:52 .....that's why I love dogs, they live in the moment!

  • We should count our blessings, life is a LOT easier for us today, because of labor-saving technological innovation, than it was for our great-grandparents' generation.

  • The cars displayed towards the end of this video are much newer than the 1953 model year; I saw a 1971 Ford Pinto, among other cars.

  • @EpiDemic117 OH AND HEY STUPID KID - MY DAUGHTER IS OLDER THAN YOU - WHICH MEANS YOU HAVE ONLY BEEN AN ADULT FOR A FEW YEARS - I HOWEVER HAVE RAISED CHILDREN - SO THAT MEANS I WIN AND YOU JUST SHOULD SHUT UP

BUT YOU WILL NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE A MORON, DISRESPECTFUL CHILD

I'M GUESSING YOU NEVER HAD TO BE BONDED FOR A JOB, SENT A SON TO WAR - BURIED YOUR GRANDPARENTS AND PARENTS?

  • @EpiDemic117 NEVER TRUST A MORON WHO CAN'T SPEND THE TWO SECONDS TO SEE WHO HE IS ADDRESSING

HAD YOU BOTHERED TO READ MY PROFILE YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN THAT I AM A DAUGHTER OF A US MARINE VETERAN AND A MOTHER OF A US SOLDIER

THAT MEANS I HAVE A VAGINA - AND HAD YOU NOT SKIPPED BIOLOGY TO GO SMOKE A BONG YOU WOULD HAVE KNOW THAT MEANS I AM NOT A MAN
