In this fifth installment Peter Frumhoff, senior scientist with the Union of Concerned Scientists, presents how computer climate models establish the case for human actions being a primary driver of the climactic warming we have seen over the last fifty years.
Using such models natural variables such as increased or decreased solar activity or volcanic eruptions to name two can be compared to human variables such as amounts of greenhouse gases. The resulting climactic predictions show that human variables are the clear driver of the kinds of changes -- the warming world we continue to see.
