@obamamaniacs I must agree with you that it does not make any sense. Politicians of all parties use race as a divisive opportunity to achieve their means. Barack and Michelle Obama use this strategically. He is an African American when race serves him best and a "We Americans" when it serves another purpose. America's house is burning, we don't save the members of a house based on religion, race.... I will have more respect for those saved or get out on their own, to help put the fire out.

@dontchastop These "heartland" Americans don't always appreciate that the best of America is often found in these OTHER groups -- the hypenated Americans. Some of the most valient democratic patriots our country has seen have come from these segments. They are less afraid to work for justice and truth.

@obamamaniacs Hey OM, you couldn't control your laughter in this video. Yeah... it's pretty ironic. It's the concept of "whiteness" that most white American don't understand. They may understand racism to a certain extent, but they're completely blind to how whiteness shapes their racism. I see it the strongest in those midwest states with citizens who are passionate about their patriotism and afraid of anything that doesn't fit into their version of America.
