Master mechanic? Yeah right! This is so basic and he got it WRONG!. The PSI on the sidewall of a tire is the maximum the tire can hold, not what it's supposed to be set at. When they say 30PSI, that means when the tire is cold (not driven for 3 hours), not when you go get gas, the tires will be hot and not accurate.

This guy is a Master Mechanic? He stated that the "recommended tire pressure is always on the side of the tire". This is absolutely WRONG! The recommended tire pressure for any tire that goes on the vehicle is determined by the manufacturer of the car. NOT the manufacturer of the tire. The reading on the tire show the PSI ranges that the tire can handle. The correct PSI level can be located either in your vehicle's manual or on a sticker inside your car's door.
