Separate Ways: Someone Save Me; Chapter 29 Part 1

Riley's POV

"I think Riley isn't as marketable." Cliff said.

I was in a board room meeting discussing my career, and I had numerous people trying to plan my life.

"Giselle, Bar, Tyra!" He yelled. "All catchy names."
"Where were you born Riley?" Lillian asked me.
"Origionally Georgia. But we moved to Cali when I was younger." I told them
"Georgia. Georgia." Cliff mused. "I could work with that."

I sat there, staring blankly out the window. My life seemed so organised now, it was un-real. Yesterday I had attended numerous photoshoots and castings, all of which I booked, but that is besides the point. I never get any alone time. I haven't spoken to my sister in days and Nick is completely out of the picutre. He hasn't called, I haven't called. I did recieve a few messages from Joe though.

Riley, are you ok?
Keep me updated.

Answer me Riley!

Don't make me tell Nick!

I had texted him back telling him to forget about me, but Joe being Joe, he couldn't. He said if anything happened he'd hold himself responsible. I told him he wasn't responsible, he wasn't in my life anymore. He also told me Nick wasn't dealing with the break-up well. As if I needed any more regrets. All I wanted was for Nick to move on, live his life and leave me to ruin mine.

"Georgia Rose!" Cliff shrieked, in his overly gay voice. "That shall be your name." he declared.

I didn't even recognise myself anymore. Georgia Rose.

Nick's POV

Riley hadn't called. When you break-up the person usually calls apologising and wanting to get back together. At least, that's what Miley did. Nothing from Riley. Was I really that easy to forget? I thought we'd had something special and she forgot me so easily. That's what fame does to people. I flicked on the TV and E! News came straight on. I bet Joe was watching about himself again!

New model on the scene Georgia Rose has started rumours that she is actually ANOREXIC!
While at a casting for Vera Wang, she was spotted taking pills in a white bottle.
The 15 year old model just came on the scene and she's already throwing away her dream.....and possibley her lunch.

That girl looked vaguely familiar. Brown hair, green eyes, pale skin. RILEY!
Who the heck was Georgia Rose?

"Joe!" I yelled. "Kevin!"

They came dashing into the main part of the tour bus, staring at me in horror.

"What's wrong Nick?" Joe asked.
"Riley's on tv." I said. "They said she's anorexic." I mumbled.
"Nick, you should know not to believe what people say on tv!" Kevin complained.
"Look at her." I demanded.

They both stared at the tv as a picture of Riley flashed across it. She was wearing a flimsy white dress, her bones jutting out sharply, and her face pale and gaunt. What had happened to her?

"She doesn't look too good." Joe mused. "Maybe I should call her."
"Why would you call her?" I said. "That's my job." I yelled, before storming towards my bunk.

I scrambled for my phone and quickly punched in Riley's number. I hadn't realised, but my eyes were leaking and tears were brimming onto my cheeks.

"Riley..." I stuttered into the reciever.
"Nick." she greeted me.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Are you crying?" she asked, concerned.
"Yeah. How are you?" I repeated.
"What's going on? Why are you crying?" she asked.
"I just want to know that your ok." I stated.
"I'm fine Nick." she breathed. "Are you?"
"I'm fine now. Bye Riley."

I ended the conversation and grabbed my jacket. I needed to get out. I walked off the bus and strode down the street. We were parked in a garage for the night and it was about 9pm. Some teens still lingered in the streets, the end of summer coming to a close. I walked to the end of the street and came across a small park. It was deserted, so I plonked onto the nearest bench and wept. I wept over Riley, over myself, over everything we had and everything I had lost. I felt like I was at a lowpoint in my life and things were spiralling downwards. Nobody even caring enough to help me!

"Are you ok?" A quiet voice asked me.

Yeah, feel privilledged.
I uploaded tonight because I'm hyper and also, first day back at school.

I saw hot math teacher but, no hot science teacher. I HAVE HIM TOMORROW!

Also, do any of you guys read The Princess Diaries?!?
I admit I have read all the series and the final book was released Tuesday. I FINISHED IT!

I won't ruin the ending but.....:D
