listen all of you idiots.. force recon is still here, 5th force in okinawa was disbanded in 1998 but the drp (deep recon platoon) is what the assault element is, msob is here, marsoc is here.. and people like braun619 are obviously full of it, no self respecting recon marine would ever tell you what his job his... bulk fuel specialist maybe

I graduated ARC 4-91 at Coronado. C Co 2nd Plt. 1st Recon Bn., and later on 4th Plt. 1st Force Recon Co. Semper Fi

They took part of Force Recon for MARSOC. But, there still is at least one Bn of Force Recon operating. They, Force Recon, were used in Bn strength in Marjah to augment forces
