8-21-2010 1600hrs. We paid $130 for a 20min. flight in a 1934 TravelAir E4000Biplane. It was at the Vancouver, Wa. Pearson airfield across the river from PDX. There was a antique air show. This was the only plane however that wasn't just parked on the field.
The open cockpit made all the difference. The pilot was prepared to pull G's in a variety of ways if we gave a thumbs up. The first hard bank and my wife freaked. I wanted to do barrel rolls, whatever. I'm 58 and if I go I can't think of a better way then in this plane. If you ever get the chance you have to do it. Best of all he didn't paint his ride all gay with the fancy paint job and logo, just old school.
looks like a great time. lucky you!
