1. Unemployment was 7.8 percent when Obama moved in.

2. Unemployment is now 9.1 percent.

This despite Obama's forcing a nearly trillion dollars of public spending paid for on credit upon the economy.

It's two years down the road since your candidate took office. Blaming it all on Bush just doesn't cut it any longer.

Obama never promised < 8% unemployment, he's not that naive as to promise a max unemployment rate. He said the best chance of unemployment not going above 8.5 % is by passing the stimulus. Considering that the financial crisis was just as deep as in 1929, it would've easily resulted in Great depression-era unemployment levels as well - had it not been for the stimulus. Big O sold us his nearly trillion dollars plan promising us by doing so unemployment levels would never rise above 8 percent. Since that time millions of Americans have lost their jobs and the unemployment rate has not fallen below 8 percent.

In fact, the unemployment rate has been 9 percent or higher in 23 of the past 25 months.

Instead of adding jobs, the O's so-called stimulus has generated historic trillion-dollar deficits, debt, and unemployment.

Obama saved the country by injecting $ into the sectors that keep the country going, such as auto manufacturing, energy, & infrastructure, when they couldn't get loans from the banks thanks to Bush's financial crisis, avoiding a great depression & all that comes with it (> 30% unemployment, $ becoming worthless instead of gradual devaluation). But you deluded "keep your gov't hands off my medicare" tea baggers are too naive & ignorant to see reality

The KKK was started in the South while Dixiecrats were the majority but that same type person converted to republicanism in the 1960s & early 1970s. It was called the Southern Strategy.
