PBS airdate: Check local listings. http://www.pbs.org/secondopinion/episodes/nonhodgkinslymphoma/index.html While other cancers continue to decline, lymphoma is on the rise. The good news is that with early diagnosis, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma is often a very treatable disease with a good prognosis.
@canrsiegrl I am FAR from an expert (diagnosed NHL 7/23/11). I'm doing a number of alternative treatments that I'd be happy to share with you (or anyone else), If interested, email me at s - Gutfeld@y a h o o.com

I was diagnosed in 12/08 - went through chemo and radiation - 6 months after my remission, it was back, went through chemo again...now I am due to go in for the 3rd time..seems to come back every 6 months-1year...what am I doing wrong? Have any of you done alternative things? Diet? Nutrition? Supplements? Anything....seems like I am the only one that this keeps coming back to....I am devastated...onco wants me to have a bone marrow transplant and I refused....can anyone tell me about that?

@PostITnoteGUY I was diagnosed at age 35. If you have any concerns which it seems you do by finding a lump you need to get to a doctor asap. I found that some of the common warning signs are night sweats, fatigue, persistent cough, weight loss, and swollen lymph nodes. I did not have all of these and my cancer was still considered advanced when I was diagnosed so you don't have to have all of these warning signs to have Lymphoma. Only a doctor can tell you for sure. Good luck!

If you think you may have NHL, go get checked out. The worst thing you can do is let it go... Early detection will vastly improve your chances of recovery.

THE CURE FOR CANCER
In DYING TO HAVE KNOWN, filmmaker Steve Kroschel [documents] the testimonies of patients, scientists, surgeons and nutritionists who testify to the [Gerson] therapy’s efficacy in curing cancer... and presents the hard scientific proof to back up their claims... the question that remains is, “Why is this powerful curative therapy still suppressed, more than 75 years after it was clearly proven to cure degenerative disease?”

I too had NHL 2 yrs. ago, went through chemo and radiation. I'm in remission now for 2 Yrs. Thats a good thing. The thing that helped me through it all ( besides my loving wife and family ) was smoking a little cannibas. It helped me through depression and wanting to eat something. As those of you who have gone through this ordeal know after chemo and radiation everything tastes like cardboard. The will to eat is not there. I'm not saying its for everyone but it did help me out. Good luck.
