  • i know its a highly controversial question... but what way is the best for applying thermal paste, on the newegg tutorial he spreads the paste out before putting the heat sink on, and you just leave it in a blob...

  • @roksys69 Pea sized dot in the center. Then put on your heatsink it will spread it the best.

  • My first experience with building a computer is horrific! When I plugged everything, it turned out I had a faulty motherboard. :( Stupid ass Frys Electronics said it was new no used. >:(

  • look like he over tightened the 212 plus >.< if you look at the CPU it looks like its bent lol

  • @roksys69 i did allot of testing on this, and i found out that a dab on the center of the CPU about Rice size delivers best contact.

test CPU: Phenom ii x4 960T (stock cooler)

Rice size: 26-30 on idle, and 56-54 during Prime 95

Pea size: 30-34 on idle, and 56-62 during Prime 95

    Spread : 31-33 on idle, 58-62 during Prime 95

my experiece shows rice size is the best way to apply thermal paste

  • @LavcoPriceTech u got that right my friend ! ! !

  • 23:57 :D and ima be like aaah

  • well.. i tell you, a bit too much thermal paste is a lot les worse than not having enough (personal experience ^^)

  • what is considered by low end price range wise

  • @LavcoPriceTech Plus it wont leave air buuble wich doesnt give even cooling
