The 2009 Hurricane Season Starts on June 1, 2009. Make sure you are prepared for the 2009 Hurricane Season. Did you know that Hurricane Ike was the third most destructive hurricane ever to make landfall in the United States? Aubrey R. Taylor, founder of the "People Doing Business" series and publisher of Houston Business Connections newspaper, and "Aubrey" the quarterly magazine would like for you to pray for those still feeling the after affects of Hurricane Ike. He would also like to congratulate Houston Mayor Bill White, and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett the 2009 recipients of the North Star Award. The North Star Award is presented to individuals or companies in northern Harris County who made a long-term, significant contribution to the region.
