Yes! You've said the truth. Most of jazz musicians never learned the Brasilian music, but they like to play it, make overcomplicated arangements and spoil it in the bliss of their ignorance-arrogance. Reminds me of catching a wild fish and than cooking it for two hours, putting 20 spices, cream and mayonease on it!
