@TheArmy19D Yes, normally expansionary fiscal policy is the route out of recessions. The major criticism by the Congressional Budget Office of Bush's attempt to stimulate the economy is that he did not spend enough money. A large portion of Obama's government spending was never enacted and instead replaced with tax cuts (about 1/3 of the Recovery Act) or just removed from the final bill as requested by many Republicans.

I couldn't agree more. Anyone who thinks Obama is significantly better than Bush they are even more deluded by Obama's rhetoric than Bush's loyal supporters were by his.
