Don't let the thunder worry you.
It's only Mr. God's trombones.
He needs a field to run into.
His field is the sky.

He's got a wide, gray football field
filled up with pretty clouds today.
You'll never wash the dark clouds
down with tears.
Don't try.

..The sky is the forehead of the morning passing the sun along it's way, distributing the clouds as they move above us and go with us until nightfall... (or something like that).......I still remember those words - I used to love The Sky album. Can you upload the entire thing? Thanks for this great memory.

I do want to do more of McKuen's works. Finding the best photos and enough of them is a challenge.

I'm glad you wrote your message because it reminded me of the video I was working on a few months ago and paused. "How Many Colors Of Blue" could be next. There are many "songs" I would like to do from "The Sky", The Sea", Home To The Sea", "The Soft Sea" and others.

Remember " A New Lullaby"? I've included that poem in my dating site profiles.

I love this...thank you for doing this and posting....and I love this album...can you load any of the other songs from The Sky Album?  what software did you use?

I use many softwares to edit and prepare the music and images or video. Probably the one software I use most and I highly recommend is Mpeg Video Wizard. You can do basic sound edits to and it is super user friendly.

I want to do many videos with Rod's poems but not until I have the "right" images or videos with the right poems. For my next one, I would love to use "How many colors of blue" from The Sky. Also "My Friend The Sea" is a possibility.

I'll be checking back. I have a ton of his albums (33 1/3) from way back when but the video just adds so much.

@urdivine I don't remember all the titles of the SKY, but I know the melody and words when I hear them. It's been a long time but I used to lay on the bed in my dorm room (a lifetime ago) and put 2 big speakers on each side of me (back then big speakers were cool - and I didn't have head phones) and listen to THE SKY and recite every word! I don't know why I remember this 'songs' words more than the others. Is 'A New Lullaby' from the SKY? - I'll be watching for more. Thanks :)

Love the album, I lost my album years ago. The Sky, your video is awesome.

At the end of the album, there is a song that goes....who has touched the sky. It is probably my all time favorite song over any other song.
