the 4 blasts at the end is to let people know the alarms are now being silenced, it's just a simplex thing.

Yes. It's completely portable. I wouldn't recomend doing so though.

It is a small module that allows SmartSync alarms to work with any conventional alarm panel with a steady 24vDC current.
