Please don't ask for sheet music, because it doesn't exist.
I'm taking piano lessons since a very short time and this is my first version of this song played with the help of a Fake Book.

  • Are you taking piano lessons since very short time?? Where you an organist or a harpsichorist??

  • I quit taking lessons already, I only had those lessons for maybe 3 months. For personal reasons I quit them. My other videos are songs I learnt myself, without any help from teachers.

I was never an organist or harspichorist, I never play(ed) in public, because my repertoire is too small.

The songs I uploaded a loooong time ago, most of them I don't know how to play anymore, because I forget... :-(

  • its bonfa not jobim

  • You should keep playing piano! If you play like this after a few months, you could become a really good piano player!

  • youre doing the fifth case wrong...

  • Not bad, but I think it sound better if you didn't use pedal. Just my personal opinion.

  • @WishToSightRead I always forget how to play songs too lol :(

  • I have the song sheet myself (musiclessons in school ftw XD) and it says as componist "Luiz Bonfa"...

I guess it was him after all

  • This is by Bonfa, but the composer of Girl from Ipanema and Definado is Antonio Carlos Jobim, not Carlos Antonio Jobim.

For those who don't know a "Fake Book" has only the treble like written (the melody) and the chords are just written in like "B7m" or "C" and the musician has to figure out how to play them on his or her instrument.

  • This is NOT by Jobim. Please change your title. And of course the sheet music exists. This is a Jazz Standard. You will find it in real books.

  • its really nice, but the song at the begining goes in triolas not in 8ths *beat*. other than than awesome job!

  • keep it up---very good for a beginner...lots of potential

  • the arrangement is good
