This is a test of a Nikon NIKKOR 85mm f/2 AIS Lens on my 7D camera Body. This video was shot on the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. The trail is about to welcome spring, but not quite yet. It snowed a little today when I was shooting this video.
I was made aware of this Nikon lens from The DREWnetwork on you tube. Check them out, they are fantastic. The DREWnetwork was the first channel on you tube to post a video using this lens with a Canon 7D. There's a link to said video below. Check them out.

  • i wanna use this lens for sports like skateboarding ,what it does when you move the camera fast does it get blurry?Any problem with the focus? Can you make a video test for me when the camera goes fast.

  • @smhoodd The best lens in the world can blur when the camera moves fast. Blurring or gelling is related to the camera, more specifically the camera's sensor(s). Blurring also relates to frame rate, and focal length. The 85mm lens will blur as much as ANY lens if it is put on a camera that has a slow frame rate, or a crappy sensor. CMOS sensors (DSLR Sensors) do not like fast camera movement, not even at 60fps.

  • great montage congrats ! nice colors, amazing lens !what adapter do you have?can we also shoot sports with this lens?

  • @smhoodd Fotodiox (nikon-EOS) adapter. The 13$ one works just fine. No need for the 70$ alternative. The 85mm is the sharpest lens I've ever used, ever. Unfortunately it is not a fast lens. It is a manual focus, manual aperture lens. So no, I would never expect the 85mm to work well shooting sports. But there are fast lenses like the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM that are very fast, among others.

  • real fancy for a mickeys guzzlein, back woods, camp filth lover!!!!!! lets go to thaaa baaaaaa buddieee!

  • @LebowskiATnobo2006 one head jamming baaa visit coming up there buddy.

  • Stunningly beautiful. The panning dolly-type shots were amazing. Especially with the deer. Very nicely done. Can't wait to see more when the leaves come back! Definitely glad I subscribed.

  • @mgissy2010 Thanks Gissy, it had been a while since I made it out to the trail, glad I could find some interesting things to shoot.
