Obama Jokes About Halloween: 'I'm Gonna Be a Pumpkin'
For the first time, Barack Obama won't be trick-or-treating with his kids on Halloween.

"I'm gonna be a pumpkin," the Democratic candidate kidded with Ryan Seacrest on Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning radio show Friday.

But going out in costume this year with daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, really isn't an option this year. "Last year I wore a rubber mask, so people didn't know who I was," he said. "This year, even if I wear a rubber mask, if I've got six Secret Service around me, it will probably attract [some attention]."

Obama also shared his agenda for Election Day a game of basketball and, of course, a trip to the polling station.

"I'll vote first thing in the morning, then take the girls to school, then we will fly to a battle ground state and do some campaigning, hand-shaking, and all that good stuff," he said.

The basketball game became a tradition early in the campaign season, Obama told Seacrest, after he first shot a few hoops on the day of the Iowa caucuses. "Hopefully I don't break my nose for the big night, or get an elbow in the teeth," he joked.

After the game, the candidate said, "I'll have dinner with the family and head down and watch the returns."
