  • i dont get it how can it only be 162.74 hp when the 93 se has the DOHC wich new n stock is 190hp?

  • wheel hp vs crank hp. there is power loss going in the tranny and to spin the tires and everything that moves.

  • this car is not 25 years old... its 14... and the hp rating is at the crank anyways(190), not at the wheel as what this dyno rated

  • show me proof of this "fact".

  • I had the VG 30 series, SOHC engine, not DOHC engine, with 165 HP at the crank, and I improved the car with a warpspeed Y-Pipe and a better intake. The better Y-pipe gave me a gain of 18 HP, and the better intake about 5 HP. I advanced the ignition timing 15 degrees and got another 7 HP. Overall gains were almost 30 HP at the crank. This is a high torque engine and it went to soldier on in the Nissan Quest minivan and Some trucks.

  • @bradleyroy12 A 14 year old car isnt "Old as fuck"

  • This guy @bradleyroy12 was being TOO sarcastic and kind of an asshole, but I get his point and I think he's right. An old car will lose power with time for many many reasons starting that an old motor will not have the same high compression and won't pump has many ponies on the dyno that is obvious.

  • Just doesnt sound healthy enough to put out torque like the numbers listed.

  • You pathetic creatures who have negative comments to say about this car, cannot even begin to fathom the mayhem that goes on underneath that hood. Especially in 3rd gear. V..E..

  • 2 words.. V......E..... Where is this car now?

  • Three cheers for Ryantravisaol.

  • WOOOOOW ! you're all right this is the greatest POS ever created im sorry i upset your lil clan of social outcasts. If you all had half a brain you'd realize how pathetic you are. i know the differance between bhp, and rwhp, but it is not uncommon for a car this old to lose more than 20% of its hp(rw, or bhp), ask a mechanic ya buncha car noobholes

  • The HP that a car looses overtime is negligible when the car is properly maintained. Also, these figures seem to be on target with what the results would have been in 1993. You really should educate yourself as to not look so ignorant, and using terms like "NUMB-NUTZ" really only makes you look stupider. Maybe you and people like you will realize this one day, till then the rest of us will just continue to shake our heads in disbelief and at the very least...feel better about ourselves.

  • bradleyroy12, you should really do some research before you start going off on somebody. it's called bhp (brake horse power). the power at the actual wheels. and unless he hasn't kept up with his tune ups and made some improvements, and even if he didn't, he wouldn't have lost nearly 30hp in 14 years.
