  • Good singing ! Please tell me where to buy this CD ?

  • This aria is not on any CD.

  • What a pleasant air :)! The accompaniment reminds me of several later pieces, especially Handel's "Turn, hopeless lover" with its' gentle, caressing line and pure, melting use of the voice. Also, I was actually convinced that a woman was singing the piece before I had a chance to look up the singer in question :D. The voice itself is very pleasant, feminine and well-trained, though it seems to be in need of constant care from the soloist, so light it is. A most interesting new singer :)!

  • Most lovely aria indeed, I listened to it all evening after I discovered it :)

The singer is one of the handful of natural male sopranos around, often called an endocrinological castrato, this is the only way he can sing, there's no "real man's voice" hiding somewhere in the bottom.

  • You're Russian, right?

Then you might enjoy this, one of his better performances and sung in Russian.
