Vice Presidential nominee and Iowa native Henry Wallace
speaking at Cresco, Iowa in the fall of 1940. The band is the Protivin Town Band.
My Grandfather and Uncle played with this band and are on stage. The background music is "Winona Waltz" by Freddie "Schnicklefritz" Fisher, another Iowa native from Garnavillo, just southeast of Cresco. Freddie Fisher was a nephew of my Grandmother.
