This video is a few blitz games played for fun with some quick analysis at the end of the games. It's been very busy the last several weeks, and I haven't had a lot of time for chess so the theme of this video is shaking off some rust to get back into the swing of things.

  • Can anyone tell which software is used here to analyze a game?

  • @desecho8653 It's the free internet chess server. I have a video on how to get setup there as well as which interface I use. Thanks for checking out the vid!

  • 27:37 you could have pushed pawn up to g4 moving the rook to h3 and then move up your king trapping the rook

  • 7:30 you could have moved pawn up to h3 kicking the knight then move up your g3 pawn up attacking the queen then move up your g3 pawn once again and winning the knight in h6

  • @mexicanmansam Because it is impossible to fork them? :) you cant move it two forward anymore, its already moved.

  • @IVIasterIVIind Thanks, didn't see that.

  • 13:02 Why didn't you fork his knight and bishop with your d6 pawn?

  • @DarrylChang Because he checked with the bisschop :)

  • At 15:40 after you moved bishop. why didn't opoonent take queen?

  • 06:17: hello i want to know what you think about a1 to e1 to prepare the push e3 to e4. The queen can now go to c2 and and the black can have some problems if we push d5 or e5 later. Just want to say that i am a 1600 players and not a 2000 player so maybe those moves can make you lose ;)

  • @pipebrother uhh, its a good thought, its just that it concentrates too much over moving important pawns protecting the king, which really tends to get iffy when you know you have 2 pawns in the same file.it is an OK move, but i think that simply leaving the rook alone, pretty much in a useless position is just as much killing it as any. just try not to think solely on the rook capture, there are many other moves that could be really good from that position.

  • 26:38 to 29:00... Watching that was absolute torture for me. I was screaming "PAWN G4!!!!! G4 G4 G4!!!" lol. I guess I'm not that great of a chess player but it seems to me like you could have trapped that rook. Right at 26:38. When he moves his rook down in between the two squares that your F3 knight were attacking, then you could have simply moved your king up one, threatening the rook and taking it with an early advantage. I can't see how that plan could have failed, second opinions?
