Labour Spin and Lies and the Dunfermline Building Society

Alistair Darling was determined to force through the shotgun sale of Scotland's largest building society despite an unprecedented backlash from its board and the Scottish Government. His decision meant the Dunfermline Building Society was broken up, its savings business taken over by the highest bidder and the taxpayer footing the bill for losses on its loans.

Jim Faulds, Chairman of the Society, denounced the plans as a "scandal" and Mr Salmond said he was "deeply disappointed" that the Treasury had ruled out maintaining the firm as an independent institution.

As the sell off approached, Jim Murphy, cool Labour apparatchic, Secretary of State for Scotland and skull face, spouted the party line in interviews about the future of the Dunfermline. This edited version has more relationship with the truth!

The of these type of videos I watch the less and less I trust the SNP and their supporters. These videos are about making people think the way they want to think rather than presenting the facts and allowing people to make up their own minds. This stuff is Orwellian.
