La Sera performing "Devils Hearts Grow Gold" at Room 205.

A few days before embarking on La Sera's first UK tour, mastermind Katy Goodman (vox/bass) and hired guns Jennifer Prince (guitar/vox) and Jonathan Weinberg (drums/dry humor), stopped by Room 205 to blast through a few songs from Katy's upcoming full-length on Hardly Art.

  • @UGLYFATASSREPUBLICAN That's why it's a different version....

  • They remind me of Rainer Maria.

  • @UGLYFATASSREPUBLICAN yeah, it works better a little more dirge-y. lazy, sleepy, worn down.

  • kewl, I dig this

  • @leprebean - Yeah, you're right. This isn't the Pixies although there is no doubt it's Pixies influenced. Maybe in another lifetime. Then again, everything today is derivative of the past yet somehow fails to hit the mark set by bands of the past. No reason to give up trying. This band sounds really NICE but .....

  • @MrGoatEyes

Even as a pretty big pixies fan, I don't think it's not that similar, kinda has the same chord progression, but overall, it's not that similar

  • This version is way too fast.

  • Where is My Mind? Where is My Mind? Is this a Pixies cover?

  • this is very alluring

  • Love this song. Hope to hear more from these kids!
