It's unwise of me to record an unboxing first thing in the morning. I'm not quite awake but oh well.

  • umm... i think frame-arms that you mentioned belongs to border-break(an arcade-game's mecha) not code geass

  • @mukamupantatku - I said, perhaps not clearly enough, Kotobukiya, not Code Geass.

  • Looking good, and for it's price (about as much as a cheaper MG), it seems like a good buy. I guess it was too much of an expectation that these kits would transform, but if they're well-articulated, it'll be worth it.

I've already seen the part details of DMK Optimus Prime, and the inner frame detail is CRAZY - it's well above MG detail and venturing into PG territory. But Bumblebee may be a better buy as Optimus is more than double his price tag.

  • @ckaicydek - Bumblebee is a good buy for a TF fan but I would say that people who are more into model kits may want to think twice before buying this model kit, especially for those who are accustomed to the QC found in Bandai's plamo products.

I passed on the DMK Optimus Prime kit's initial release but I'll probably buy the second release scheduled for later this year.

  • reminds me more of RG than HG

  • @vultwaz - It's more than HG for the sculpt and parts count but not quite to RG standards. It's close, though.

  • @Guiltaur Yea i know what you mean. Im so glad i got the original MP-01 Convoy. I personally do not like the new design of the MP-10. Theres something about the head that just really bothers me. Though im sure itll be a great figure.

  • @cocorain123 - To be honest, I think that it's best to stay away from the Dual Model Kits unless you're ready to commit yourself to a model kit project in which you'll have to baby the model to a degree. I'm enjoying the Bumblebee model kit so far but it has its share of headaches.

The original MP Optimus Prime figure is great. I'm not fully on board for the upcoming MP10 figure, which is a more animation model inspired Optimus Prime, particularly because of the high price tag.

  • @Guiltaur Both kits look very good. But i heard that the Optimus Prime can be very delicate in some places. I think instead of getting the Model i will probably be getting the Master Piece Optimus Prime. Im not much of a fan of the movie designs but i do think Optimus is good. Thats just my opinion anyway. I cant wait to see your take on this model my friend!

  • @Guiltaur i totally agree. i stressed a lot of parts when building it. i look forward to your review of it.
