The train has left the Bloomington Central stop, the underpass is at interstate 494, and the next stop will be Humphrey Terminal at MSP International Airport. This part of 34th Avenue South, from 82nd Street to Humphrey Terminal, is a divided street with the tracks in the middle. It's like Beacon Street in Brookline, Mass., or Van Aken Boulevard in Shaker Heights, Ohio, or Saint Charles Avenue in New Orleans. But unlike these older trolley routes, there isn't a crowded old fashioned neighborhood along the way. On 34th Avenue, there's a National Cemetery to the right and a lot of airport-related buildings to the left. August, 2007.
I know, I know... I still have only a silent camera. :-/
