  • I have a 7 month old bearded dragon and I'm afraid to pick it up sometimes because it has very sharp and long nails that pinch like pins and its painful. How do I clip these?

  • It is a better idea as they get older (that was just a baby) to give them a bath, they absord and drink the water as they swim. They shouldn't have humidity in the tank. If you do feel the need to have a water dish, put it on the cool side, (also when they get bigger). Please don't leave basking light on 24/7, i use an infa-red light, keep that on 24/7. They cannot see the light, so to them looks like night time that and a heating pad in the proper spot is suffice for night time heat. :)

  • Would you use a heating pad for this reptile? Please reply

  • thumbs up for the good advice thanks dude!!

  • Cool thanks man

  • i prefer beach chips but great vid!!

  • Ya it will be fine as long as you handle and play with him/her often. But if you don't it might get deprest and you never want that to happen.

  • @thedoctor681 1. its not that quiet

    2. 75w will usually heat the tank to the recomended 35-40*c

    3. the 75w lamp is the heat lamp?

4.i guess it is a little zoomed out

    5. that tank is an alright size as it's only a young bearded dragon

    6. water is usually nearer to the hot side because the water needs to be a bit warm as they climb into it to bathe, i do however put the food at the other end so it doesnt dry out

    7.i dont really agree

  • Im thinking about getting a beardie But i have a 1 question ... If you get 1 of them would they feel kinda lonely or would it be fine ... Because I already have 2 crested gecko's A boy and a girl and they have eggs VERY Often... Not to sound mean or anything I just Dont want anymore eggs to take care of . So would It be fine if I get only 1 beardie ?

  • @adamf2011 even in the winter! lol you keep it on the the whole day and at night around 8-9 pm get a auto timer and make it shutoff and turn on at 6-7 AM and keep your basking light on all night!
