My LED warning light update in June 2008. I have Sound Off LED3s in the grill. There are a few kinds in back. ShoMe Slim Lights inside. LX4's on the tool box and Nova Hide-a-LED N500's lights in the reverse lamps.

  • Where can you get these and how much? My dad owns a trucking company and these would be great for his 2006 Silverado. He has the regular LED low profile amber light on top, but It would be cool to have them in the grille too.

  • @jrodigan5

The lights behind the grill are SoundOff LED3's. You can get them through any SoundOff reseller. Another option is ArkLaMiss Lights 3LED heads. I've got several of those and the quality is top notch. Thanks.

  • Whats the rules on LED on public vehicles? I'm a volunteer fire fighter and I would like to put red led strobes would i get fined?

  • Check with your officers on that. The laws change from area to area. Most of the lighting laws are going to be part of your state code. Some states are pretty lax and others have very specific law about what, who, where, colors, etc.

  • having hte front leds behind the grill looks crap to me but the back looks great

  • Putting the LEDs on the grill looks worse, and it would be very easy for sticky fingers to take them.

  • @StageManRG Personally, behind the grill is the most professional way to do it. You definitely did 'em right.

  • wacker

  • how much were these and how hard were they to install?

  • Would be FAR better if flashing together to make a greater visual impact.

    Four-way flashers are better.

Good that you placed them behind the grill - looks good, still works well and no one will steal them.

  • your department should have SOP's or SOG's on that subject, and a set requirement for what the firefighters are allowed and not allowed to do.

  • Cool, thanks!
