@mapearce1 Hi, i collect UK Christmas stamps, nearly done now and im thinking about starting a Machin and penny sized collection from day one onwards if you understand me? What i wanto know, are there any pre-printed pages with the stamps issued-picture/description etc so i can mount them(only used) where they should be. Ive not got a stamp history book etc
Old collector here - thanks for not bringing "hinges" into the mix. And to use tongs or not - post-1950 prefered but really,...not much difference unless it is a rare variety or error. Post 1950 - leave a fingerprint on the glue and there goes a premium (or at least I will mention it and look mfor discount). And then there are those stamps that should ALWAYS be EXPERTLY handled with tongs,....and I am sure you know what I mean! IMHO
