@electronkid710 your wrong man loose the bio bals there not for reef tanks they cause major nitrates. Bio balls are like tech from the 80s lol And keep the skimmer its great to have keeps the tank waaay cleaner with fish. You sound like a noob man those guys that dont use skimmers have the most advanced system ou,t that use other way to rid the nitrates. I bet you anything trying to keep sps without a skimmer and YOU WILL FAIL..ask any expert with 30yrs plus experience

I use them in conjunction with a GFI outlet on every tank I have.

What kind of pump are you using to help pump water from the can back to into your tank?
