Highlights: Penguins vs Capitals: Game 3 2009 Playoffs

GGGGGGEEEEEEENNNNNNNOOOOO!!!! What a beast. He dominated this game.

First goal = stunned. I couldn't believe it. It looked like the Pens were stunned for quite a while. Took them 10 minutes or so to get into it. But then, it was pretty much all Pens for the rest of the game.

Feds ties it in the 2nd. Lucky bounce for sure, but he put it in. Pens continue to dominate. Then Geno takes over in the 3rd, draws the penalty, then scores on the PP! Hit from Orpik and Ovechkin: WOW. But the Caps get a PP, and tie it with less than 2 minutes. Nooo!!! Stunned!!!

Overtime!

Chances like crazy. Faceoff win. LEGAME!!!! Letang with the winner! Stuff of legends. You know he wasn't 100% from that last game. He was questionable to even play. And honestly, he didn't look good out there. I was frustrated and yelling at the TV every time he was on the PP and fumbled the puck or missed an opportunity.

But this is the playoffs...and it's OT...and it's pretty much must win. That's what it's all about. He came through.

Other notes: If Mario Lemieux and his work against cancer doesn't move you when you see those cancer patients, you aren't human. I had to include it. Also, I thought Satan played well. I wouldn't mind seeing him stay in the lineup. He actually had a few chances and even went to the corners to try and get the puck.

Back in the series now!! Tie it on Friday, DO IT!!!

Ovechkin after the game:

"Ovechkin was a little pouty at the post-game press conference. He answered a few questions then basically refused to answer the final three before uttering some profanity and ending his press conference. We're pretty sure we've never seen Sidney Crosby, that notorious 'whiner' act in such a way after a game."
