After being incarcerated, Annette found it impossible to find a job, and re-integrate herself into the community. She felt helpless and alone, had no relationship with her family or daughter, and nowhere to live. SUS provided Annette with the tools she needed to rebuild her life. Today, Annette lives in a one bedroom apartment of her own. She has repaired her relationship with her family, and most importantly, with her daughter. She has a job, and actively gives back to those around her by talking to her peers at conferences across the country. In her own words, today, she feels that 'life is worth living'.
