We need more astrophysicists posting on youtube! When I told friends that the moon comes this close to earth about every 28 days and the only difference was this time it's also a full moon, they're like, "thats it?" LoLz, there was so much Tin Foil Hat confusion over this event in the general populace.

@CHOPPER1NE From my best understanding, a superhot (but solid) planetesimal collided with early Earth - and it was about the size of MARS! Kaboom!
